MMOF is an international community of oncology professionals from all countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, sharing practices and approaches to cancer treatment and care, exchanging views and ideas and benefiting from each other's knowledge and experience in the field of Oncology.
MMOF’s 2nd Congress
Following the success of MMOF’s 1st Congress in Athens in 2009, we are happy to announce that the 2nd MMOF Congress was held in Istanbul, Turkey, in November 17 - 20, 2011.
Mediterranean Oncology Journal (MOJ), is the official journal of the MMOF whose focus is to promote a multidisciplinary forum facilitating collaboration and exchanging information on what is happening in different countries of the Mediterranean basin among oncologic disciplines concerned with the etiology and course of human cancer, cancer treatment and care by publishing clinical and translational cancer research studies that bridge the laboratory and the clinic contributing to cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, cure, rehabilitation; and diminishing suffering from cancer.
The International Advisory Committee’s aim is to promote the goals and activities of MMOF in every country of the Mediterranean area. The Committee, as of November 2011, has a new Chairman, Professor Giovanni Rosti, a distinguished Medical Oncologist from Italy.
